papier d'Armenie

Image of papier d'Armenie

Papier d'Arménie is a type of Armenian paper that produces a pleasant scent when burned. The scent is reminiscent of vanilla incense and is renowned since ancient times for its antiseptic, healing and expectorant properties. Each booklet is composed of twelve sheets cut into 3 strips (36 deodorizing strips).

Tear off one strip, fold it like an accordion and place it on its longest thinest side on a heat resistant surface. Light it, blow gently so that the paper does not burn up. The Papier d'Arménie will burn slowly producing an incense like smoke.

Papier d'Arménie can also be used without burning. Tear off entire sheets and place them in wardrobes, dressers, books, etc. They will be perfumed with a subtle, delicate scent.
